More than 100 machines including lathes, boring, milling, slotting, grinding, honing, gear cutting, shaping, planing and super-finishing machines. Facilities for testing safety valves and pumps, bearing re-metalling, flash blasting facilities, repairs to refrigerated vessels, dynamic refrigerators and air-conditioning plants. Centralised cleaning unit with comprehensive cleaning facilities such as ultrasonic cleaning.
A fully air-conditional cryogenic workshop equipped with dedicated and specialised tools is also available to service cryogenic equipment.
Services include rewinding generators and motors of all sizes up to the ships' main propulsion motors. Shipyard also undertake coil winding, repairs to starters and switchboards, calibration of circuit breakers, stoving and baking, dynamic balancing as well as electroplating in cadmium.
Workshop facilities include the Ayroder and the process plants to improve insulation of electrical machinery and components and an air-conditioned Instrumentation Laboratory for the servicing and testing of sophisticated electronic equipment.
Facilities available for crankshaft grinding, cylinder block boring in line, fuel injection equipment overhauling, and calibration of high-speed engine fuel injection pumps.
Capabilities include cold bending pipes up to 250 mm (10") bore; bending radius 3D; maximum 180 degrees bend, bending shaped steel, fabricating copper, steel, lead and alloy piping for all types of vessels. |
