Control and Combat Systems |
|
Within Navantia, the Area of Systems and
Weapons is covered by the San Fernando factory, which
specialises in combat systems and naval weapons, along
with the factory at Cartagena, specialising in management and
control.
The first of these factories has many years experience in
developing combat systems, and is currently collaborating with
Lockheed Martin on the installation of the Aegis systems on the
Spanish frigates.
For its part, Cartagena specialises in the design and
development of computerised vessel control systems (navigation,
engines, etc.) and modern management and maritime safety
systems.
